Soft Amaretti

Soft Amaretti from Spoonsparrow: These soft amaretti taste wonderful and are perfect for the winter season!

Ingredients

  • 250 g marzipan base
  • 75 g finely ground almonds
  • 20 g powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch Ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 egg whites
  • 200 g almond slivers

Instructions

    Combine the marzipan with the almonds, sugar, cinnamon, salt and egg whites in a bowl and knead into a smooth dough. Using a teaspoon cut small balls, roll them in almond slivers, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let dry overnight.

    Preheat the oven to 150 °C (300 °F) with upper and lower heat on the next day.

    Bake the balls in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes. Remove the soft amaretti, let them cool and serve with coffee or espresso as desired.
