Simple Chocolate Loaf Cake

The simple chocolate cake for the loaf pan becomes an absolute favorite with a chocolate glaze. Easy and quick to make, ready anytime!

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 170 g raw cane sugar
  • 1 pinch Vanilla powder
  • 200 ml rapeseed oil
  • 100 ml Orange Juice
  • 100 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • 300 g spelt flour type 1050
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 200 g dark chocolate couverture (at least 70% cacao)

Instructions

    Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla powder in a mixing bowl until thick and creamy. Add oil, juice, and milk and stir briefly. Mix flour, baking powder, and cocoa together and quickly fold into the egg mixture.

    Pour batter into a greased loaf pan if needed and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan, gas: level 3) for about 45 minutes.

    Melt chocolate couverture over a bain‑marie and brush warm cake with it.
