Ingredients

  • 2 red onions
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 kg rhubarb
  • 1 lemon (zest and juice)
  • 4 cloves of peppercorns
  • tsp mustard powder (2 tsp each)
  • tsp ginger powder (2 tsp each)
  • 2 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 2 tbsp germ oil
  • Salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 8 tbsp light sesame seeds
  • 4 tbsp black sesame seeds

    For the chutney, peel and quarter the onions lengthwise, then cut them into strips. Clean, peel, and slice the rhubarb.

    Heat oil in a pan and stir the onion with sugar over high heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the rhubarb with lemon juice and zest, peppercorns, mustard and ginger powder, cayenne pepper, and salt; cook while stirring for about 5 minutes. Immediately transfer to prepared jars with twist-off lids, seal, place on the lids for 15 minutes, then flip and let cool.
