Ingredients

  • 4 pork schnitzels (125 g each)
  • Salt
  • coarsely ground black pepper
  • dried Marjoram
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 4 onions
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 300 ml robust red wine

Instructions

    Pat the schnitzels dry and lightly tap them. Sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, and marjoram, then brush with 2 Tbsp oil. Peel and slice the onions. Heat a pan and fry the schnitzels over medium heat for 3 minutes per side, then set aside.

    Heat the remaining oil in the pan, brown the onions for about 7 minutes. Add the tomato paste and wine, bring to a brief boil, and season to taste. Return the schnitzels to the sauce, cover, and let them simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
