Ingredients

  • 8 slices of toast bread
  • 40 g pine nuts
  • 150 g canned sardines (skinless and boneless)
  • 200 g Cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • Salt
  • 1 splash Lemon juice
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Toast the bread slices until golden brown.

    Roast the pine nuts in a dry pan until golden, then let cool.

    Drain the sardines well and mash with a fork. Mix in the cream cheese and chives, season with salt, lemon juice, and pepper. Fold in the pine nuts and spread the mixture on 4 slices of toast. Top with the remaining slices and serve cut diagonally.
