Ingredients

  • 4 beetroot bulbs (with beet greens)
  • 4 tbsp candied blossoms
  • 0.25 Cucumber
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • aluminum foil

Instructions

    Wash the beetroot thoroughly under running water, separate the leaves 3-4 cm above the bulb from the stems. Parboil the bulbs in plenty of salted water for about 5 minutes, remove, shock with cold water and slice lengthwise with a sharp knife.

    Cut four square pieces of aluminum foil and place them side by side on the work surface. Place two beetroot halves on each piece of foil and season with salt and pepper.

    Wash the cucumber with its skin on, peel thin strips with a vegetable peeler and add to the beetroot. Sprinkle everything with the candied blossoms and seal the foil.

    Grill over a well‑heated grill for about 10–12 minutes. Serve hot alongside fish or meat.
