Rosemary turkey leg from Spoonsparrow: The spicy glaze provides the necessary kick.

Ingredients

  • 1200 g turkey lower leg (ready to cook, 3 turkey lower legs)
  • 4 sprigs Rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1.

Wash the turkey legs, pat dry and pierce several times with a sharp knife or kitchen tongs.

  2. 2.

Wash and shake off excess water from the rosemary. Peel and finely chop the garlic, then mix with salt, pepper, olive oil, honey, and lemon juice. Rub 3/4 of this mixture onto the turkey legs and skewer them with rosemary sprigs.

  3. 3.

Place the turkey legs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan‑forced 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for about 1 hour, brushing with the remaining garlic mixture midway. Remove and serve immediately.
