Roasted Herb Chicken

Try the roasted chicken with herbs from Spoonsparrow. Tender meat inside, crispy on the outside!
Ingredients
- 1 chicken (about 1.2 kg)
- 2 onions
- 1 bunch fresh herbs (e.g., sage, rosemary, about 20 g)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil (for the tray)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp hot paprika powder

Wash and pat dry the chicken. Peel and dice the onions. Wash the herbs, shake off excess water, and roughly chop. Stuff two-thirds of the herbs and onion into the chicken cavity. Tie the opening with kitchen twine and season the outside with salt and pepper. Brush a baking tray with oil and place the chicken on it.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for about 50 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix honey with soy sauce and paprika powder, then brush the chicken with this glaze. Bake an additional 10–15 minutes until golden brown, garnish with remaining herbs, and serve.
