Roasted Apple with Marzipan Filling

Ingredients
- 40 g raisins
- 30 ml apple juice
- 4 ripe apples (e.g., Boskop)
- Lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp melted butter
- 60 g peeled whole almonds
- 75 g marzipan dough
- 1 pinch Ceylon cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch clove powder
- 4 cinnamon sticks

Soak raisins in apple juice. Wash apples, cut off a lid and hollow them out, leaving a 1 cm border. Immediately rub with lemon juice and place on a baking dish greased with 1 Tbsp butter.

Roast almonds in a dry pan until golden yellow, remove, cool, then chop.

Mix marzipan dough with remaining melted butter, the chopped almonds, and spices. Add the soaked raisins with their liquid to the mixture and stir well. Fill each hollowed apple with the mixture, insert a cinnamon stick into each apple, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for about 20–25 minutes. Serve warm.
