Quince Jam According to Grandma's Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 kg quince
  • 1 l water
  • 250 g honey
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2.5 tsp agar-agar

Instructions

    Rub the white fuzz off the quinces with a kitchen towel, wash the fruit, remove stems and flower buds. Quarter the fruits, cut into pieces, bring to a boil in water and cook until soft.

    Place the fruit in a cheesecloth and strain over a pot. Bring 1 l quince juice with honey and lemon juice to a quick boil, add the agar-agar powder. Boil again for about 2 minutes, then pour into sterile jars. Seal well and let cool upside down.
