Quick Apple Tart with Puff Pastry

This fast apple tart with puff pastry may look very plain at first, but it surprises with a layer of fruit jelly and hazelnuts.

Ingredients
- 300 g puff pastry
- 4 sour apples
- 1 untreated lemon
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 40 g ground hazelnuts
- 50 g apricot jelly (or orange jelly)
- butter (for the tart pan)

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan-forced and butter the tart pan.

Roll out the pastry and line the pan with a small edge. Peel, quarter, core the apples and slice the quarters into rounds. Grate the lemon zest and squeeze the juice. Mix both with sugar and cinnamon and combine with the apples. Sprinkle hazelnuts over the pastry base and arrange the apple slices on top. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes until golden brown. Warm the apricot jelly slightly to melt it.

Remove the tart from the oven, spread the jelly over it, let cool, then cut into pieces and serve.
