Ingredients

  • 200 g quark
  • 1 tsp untreated lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 300 g puff pastry
  • 4 tbsp plum jam
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • a splash lemon juice

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C fan and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Beat the quark with the lemon zest, sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg yolk. Roll out the puff pastry slightly larger and cut into four squares about 15 cm each. Spread the quark cream in the center of each square and fold the dough around it to form a rectangular pocket. Place one tablespoon of plum jam in the middle of each pocket and put them on the baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, then let cool.

    Whisk powdered sugar, lemon juice, and a little cold water into a glaze. Drizzle over the quark pockets, allow to dry, and serve.
