Pumpkin Casserole in French Style

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pumpkin flesh (Muskatkürbis)
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 6 sprigs Thyme
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 150 ml milk
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp grated sheep cheese
  • 3 tbsp grated mountain cheese
  • 5 tbsp crouton crumbs (more if needed)

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Wash, dry, and dice the pumpkin flesh. Wash, halve, seed, and dice the bell pepper. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Rinse thyme, shake dry, strip leaves from stems. Whisk egg yolks with half the oil and milk. Combine vegetables with garlic and thyme in a bowl and mix well. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Divide into 4 oven-safe dishes, pour the egg mixture over, and sprinkle cheese and crumbs on top. Bake for about 40 minutes.
