Ingredients

  • 180 g flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 60 g Butter
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla aroma
  • 250 ml milk
  • Salt
  • 250 ml maple syrup
  • 180 g raw sugar
  • 60 g Butter

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with upper and lower heat. Grease the baking pan. Mix flour with baking powder. Cream the butter with sugar. Add egg, a pinch of salt, and vanilla aroma. Alternately fold in flour and milk. Pour into the pan and smooth the top.

    For the sauce, mix maple syrup, raw sugar, butter, and 250 ml boiling water; bring to a boil and simmer for about 1 minute. Pour over the batter and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.

    Cut the finished cake into pieces and serve with some sauce on plates. Offer whipped cream on the side.
