Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg waxy potatoes
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • coarse salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 0.5 tsp paprika powder
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

    Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them lengthwise into sticks. Blanch the potato sticks in plenty of salted water for 6-8 minutes. Drain and let them dry well. Pat dry with paper towels and dust with flour.

    Heat the vegetable oil to 170°C and fry the potato sticks for 3-4 minutes until golden yellow. Drain on paper towels and season with salt, pepper, and paprika powder. Serve with a dip or ketchup if desired.
