Plum Cake with Whipped Cream

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 125 g cold butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp cold water
- a pinch of salt
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 kg plums
- 2 tbsp semolina
- 30 g powdered sugar
- 0.5 l whipping cream
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
Instructions

Quickly knead the flour, butter pieces, egg yolk, 2 tbsp cold water, salt, and sifted powdered sugar into a smooth dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Meanwhile, wash and pit the plums. Preheat the oven to 200-220°C (gas: level 3-4).

Roll out the dough slightly larger than the baking tin. Line the tin with it, press the dough up the sides, and poke several holes.

Sprinkle semolina over the dough and arrange the plums on top. Dust generously with powdered sugar and bake for about 30 minutes.

Whip the cream with vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form and serve over the cake.
