Pita Bread with Beef and Bean Salad Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 can kidney beans (400 g)
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 100 g Arugula
  • 500 g sirloin steak (beef)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 5 tbsp chili sauce (ready-made)
  • 100 ml broth
  • 8 pita breads

Instructions

    Halve the avocado, remove the pit, peel and dice. Drain the beans. Peel and finely dice the onion.

    Mix avocado and onions with parsley and lemon juice. Wash and drain the arugula.

    Slice the steak thinly. In hot oil fry in batches for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and add to the vegetables. Stir in chili sauce and broth, deglaze the pan, bring to a boil, simmer for 1 minute, then combine with the beef salad.

    Warm pita pockets in a hot oven, cut open and fill with arugula and beef salad.
