(1)

Ingredients

  • 300 g frozen spinach
  • 450 g pie crust (frozen)
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • salt, pepper
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1.

Thaw the frozen spinach and pie crust according to package instructions.

  2. 2.

Crush the feta finely. Chop the walnuts. Peel the garlic. Place the spinach in a sieve and press out excess liquid with a spoon. Roughly chop with a knife. Add the feta, walnuts, and pressed garlic. Mix everything together and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3.

Stack the pie crust sheets on top of each other and roll them out on a lightly floured surface. Cut about 26 circles using a cutter or the rim of a glass. Place a mound of filling in the center of each circle. Brush the edges with water, fold the dough into half-moons, and press the edges together.

  4. 4.

Place the half-moons on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Beat the egg yolk with condensed milk and brush it over the dough. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (or gas 3‑4, fan 180°C) for about 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
