Pear and Gorgonzola Tart with Nuts

Ingredients

  • 275 g puff pastry
  • olive oil (for the tray)
  • 400 g pears
  • 60 g walnut kernels
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp freshly chopped thyme
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 g blue cheese (e.g. Gorgonzola)
  • 1 handful Arugula

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Roll out the puff pastry and line a baking tray brushed with olive oil. Prick it several times with a fork. Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

    Wash the pears, quarter them and remove the cores. Roughly chop the walnuts.

    Caramelise the powdered sugar in a pan. Add the pears, thyme, nuts, lemon juice and oil, stirring well. Crumble the cheese over the tart and top with the pear mixture and nuts (without liquid).

    Leave a small border of about 1 cm free. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Wash and dry the arugula.

    Top the tart with arugula and serve sliced hot or warm.
