Peanut Bars

Peanut bars with cholesterol-lowering oats satisfy small hunger pangs in a healthy way.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 Orange
  • 100 g unsalted peanuts
  • 30 g Butter
  • 30 g raw cane sugar
  • 100 g honey
  • 150 g rolled oats
  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 50 g Raisins

Instructions

    Squeeze the orange juice.

    Roughly chop the peanuts.

  3. 3.

    Heat butter, sugar and honey in a saucepan until the sugar is melted.

  4. 4.

    Add 1 tsp of orange juice, rolled oats, oat flakes and nuts and stir until golden brown.

    Stir in the raisins.

  6. 6.

    Spread the mixture with a damp rubber spatula on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 150 °C (130 °C convection, Gas: level 1-2) in the middle rack for 10-15 minutes.

    Cut into bars while still warm, then let cool completely.
