Pastry Rolls with Cheese Filling

Ingredients
- 400 g puff pastry (frozen)
- 500 g cream cheese
- 3 egg yolks
- 300 g shredded cheese
- 2 Eggs
- Salt
- ground pepper

Let the puff pastry thaw.

Mix cream cheese with egg yolks and half of the shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

Roll out the pastry into two rectangles about 10x80 cm each. Cut each rectangle into strips roughly 3 cm wide and 10 cm long. Brush the strips with beaten egg, then stack them lightly on top of each other and press together. Place the filling on top and roll into a long log. Slice into about six rolls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Brush the tops with remaining egg and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven, dip the ends in the remaining cheese, and let cool.
