Ingredients
- 400 g farfalle
- 150 g tuna (1 can)
- 1 onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp finely chopped basil
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 small can peeled tomatoes
- 1 can thick white beans (250 g drained weight)
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 dried chili pepper (optional)
- parsley for garnish
Instructions

Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente.

Flake tuna with 2 forks. Peel and dice onion and garlic.

Drain the beans.

Heat oil in a pot. Sauté onion and garlic while stirring. Add tomatoes with juice, mash tomatoes with a potato masher, add herbs and beans, season with salt, pepper, and crumbled chili pepper, simmer for 10 minutes, then add tuna, heat through and adjust seasoning.

Drain pasta and transfer to warmed plates. Spoon tuna sauce over the pasta and serve immediately garnished with parsley leaves.
