Pasta with Green Asparagus
A simple and tasty base recipe for pasta with green asparagus – perfect for a quick and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 500 g Green Asparagus
- Salt
- 1 bunch spring onions
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 6 tbsp olive oil (60 ml)
- black pepper (ground)
- 400 g short macaroni
- 100 g Parma ham
- Basil
Instructions

Wash the asparagus, cut off the ends generously and chop into pieces. Cook in salted water for 6-8 minutes. Then drain and rinse with cold water.

Clean and wash the spring onions, slice into rings. Peel and dice the garlic. Wash the tomatoes, quarter them, remove seeds and cube.

Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan over low heat. Transfer to a plate and let cool. Heat olive oil in another pan and quickly sauté the asparagus sticks over medium heat. Add spring onions and tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.

Cook the pasta in a pot of plenty salted water until al dente. Roll the Parma ham into rolls and slice into rounds. After draining, let the pasta dry well.

Combine the pasta with asparagus and sesame seeds, gently fold in the ham rolls. Rinse the basil, shake dry and pluck leaves from stems. Sprinkle basil over the pasta with green asparagus and serve.
