Pasta with Crab Meat

Ingredients

  • 400 g Whole Wheat Spaghetti
  • Salt
  • 70 g pancetta (Italian bacon; sliced)
  • 1 handful Arugula
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 150 g crab meat
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 50 g white bread crumbs
  • a splash dry white wine
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.

    Meanwhile, slice the pancetta into strips. Wash, rinse, and pat the arugula dry; remove stems and optionally trim smaller leaves.

    Peel and finely chop the garlic. Break apart the crab meat. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and toast the bread crumbs until golden brown. Remove and set aside. Sauté the garlic, pancetta, and crab meat in the remaining oil for 1–2 minutes, then deglaze with white wine.

    Drain the pasta and combine it with the arugula and crab mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Plate and garnish with the toasted bread crumbs.
