Ingredients

  • 2 chicken (about 1 kg)
  • salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 3 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 3 large red bell peppers
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 50 ml poultry stock
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 1 handful parsley

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

  2. 2.

Wash the chicken, pat dry and cut in half with a poultry shears. Season heavily with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Place in a roasting pan with oil and bake for 45-50 minutes. Twenty minutes before finishing, remove the chicken, brush with honey and return to the oven. For a crispy crust, raise the temperature slightly and turn on the grill function.

  3. 3.

Wash the bell peppers, halve them, remove seeds and white membranes, and cut into small cubes. Melt sugar with 1 tbsp water in a pan. Add the pepper cubes and deglaze with soy sauce, lemon juice and poultry stock. Season with salt and cayenne pepper; let simmer briefly. Take the four chicken pieces from the oven, place on a plate and pour the meat juices over the pepper cubes. Wash parsley, dry, shake and finely chop.

  4. 4.

Place half a chicken on preheated plates and top with pepper cubes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
