Ingredients

  • 400 g farfalle
  • Salt
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 150 g breakfast bacon (sliced)
  • 400 g diced tomatoes (canned)
  • 1 ball mozzarella (ca. 125 g)
  • 3 stems basil

    Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the garlic. Slice the bacon into strips and fry them in a pot with hot oil. Add the garlic, sauté briefly, then pour in the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.

    Drain the mozzarella and tear it into pieces. Wash the basil, shake dry, pluck the leaves and roughly chop. Drain the pasta and toss it with the basil and mozzarella under the tomato sauce. Taste again, serve in pre-warmed deep bowls, and finish with a sprinkle of pepper. Offer fresh baguette or ciabatta on the side if desired.
