Pappardelle with Tomato-Patty Sauce

Ingredients

  • 400 g pappardelle
  • 400 g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 Carrot
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 150 ml beef broth
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 sprig lemon basil
  • 4 tbsp ricotta

Instructions

    Cook the pappardelle al dente according to package instructions. Wash the tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves and shallots. Peel and dice the carrot into small cubes.

    Crumbly brown the ground meat in hot oil. Add the shallots and garlic, sauté briefly. Stir in tomato paste and deglaze with beef broth. Add the tomatoes and simmer for about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
