Panna cotta with strawberries by Spoonsparrow: buttermilk makes the Italian classic wonderfully light!

Ingredients

  • 6 sheets gelatin
  • 1 Vanilla bean
  • 300 g heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp raw cane sugar
  • 200 ml Buttermilk
  • 250 g strawberries

Instructions

    Soak gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Add the vanilla bean, seeds, cream, and sugar to a saucepan and bring to a boil.

    Remove from heat, discard the vanilla bean, and stir in the well-extracted gelatin. Let the mixture cool slightly. Whisk in buttermilk, pour into four glasses, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
