Ingredients

  • 8 medium, waxy potatoes
  • Salt
  • 3 spring onions
  • pepper (ground)
  • 100 g freshly grated cheese (e.g., Gouda)

Instructions

    Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cook them in boiling salted water for 20–25 minutes.

    Preheat the oven to 220 °C fan or conventional heat.

    Wash, trim, and slice the spring onions into thin rings.

    Drain the potatoes, let them steam off, halve them, and place on a buttered baking tray. Lightly salt and pepper; mix onion rings with cheese and spread over the potatoes. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown. Remove and serve immediately. Offer herb quark optionally.
