Ingredients
- 50 g Raisins
- 250 g Basmati long-grain rice
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 4 cardamom pods
- 2 cloves
- 1 tsp saffron powder
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon powder
- 50 g slivered almonds
- 1 Organic Lime
- cinnamon stick (for garnish)
Instructions

Soak raisins in lukewarm water.

Bring 500 ml water to a boil with salt, pepper, cardamom pods, cloves, saffron and cinnamon. Add rice and cook according to package instructions.

Toast almonds in a hot pan without oil over medium heat for 3 minutes. Rinse lime under hot water, pat dry and cut into halves. Slice one half into wedges; squeeze the other half for juice.

Drain raisins. Fold almonds, lime juice, and raisins into the cooked rice. Season with salt and pepper, then serve garnished with lime wedges and cinnamon sticks.
