Ingredients

  • 36 fresh sweet cherries
  • 125 g soft butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 100 g marzipan dough
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

    Wash and pit the cherries. Whisk the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs until fluffy.

    Mix the flour and baking powder; fold into the egg-butter mixture along with milk and lemon zest.

    Cut the marzipan into small pieces and stir in.

    Place two paper cups together, fill each with batter, and top with three cherries, gently pressing them in.

    Set the cups on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (middle rack) for 25-30 minutes. Remove and cool on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
