Ingredients

  • 400 g melon flesh (honeydew)
  • 100 g green currants (or white)
  • 100 g sugar (to taste more or less)
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • crushed ice (for serving)
  • mineral water (to top up)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Cut the melon flesh into pieces and place in a pot. Rinse the currants, strip them from stems, and add to the pot. Add sugar, lemon juice, and about 500 ml water; bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring occasionally. Then blend finely, let cool, and strain through a fine cloth. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible and collect the juice. Let it chill completely.

  2. 2.

Pour the juice into glasses over crushed ice and dilute with mineral water to taste.
