Melon Fruit Salad

A refreshing fruit salad featuring fresh ingredients from the fruit salad category. Try this and other recipes from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 4 small cantaloupe melons (netted melons)
  • 1 Kiwi
  • 1 handful of blue grapes
  • 1 guava
  • 1 handful of kumquats
  • 200 g strawberries
  • 1 passionfruit
  • 1 carambola
  • 6 dried dates
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Wash the melons and cut off a lid. Carefully hollow out the melons, leaving about 1 cm of flesh. Cut the melon flesh into bite‑sized pieces; reserve 3/4 for another use. Wash, trim, and quarter the strawberries.

    Wash the carambola and slice it. Slice the guava as well. Halve the dates lengthwise. Wash the grapes, halve and pit them if desired. Wash the kumquats and halve them if desired. Split the passionfruits in half and spoon out the flesh to add to the other salad ingredients.

    Peel, quarter, and slice the kiwis; add them too. Mix everything with lemon juice and distribute over the hollowed melons. Sprinkle sunflower seeds on top before serving.
