Ingredients

  • 4 Carrots
  • 200 g waxy potatoes
  • 200 g Green beans
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 800 g beef goulash (shoulder)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 400 ml meat broth
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • Salt
  • ground pepper

Instructions

    Peel the carrots and slice them. Peel, wash, and dice the potatoes. Wash, trim, and cut the green beans into pieces as desired. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

    Brown the goulash in hot oil. Add the onion and garlic, sauté briefly, then add the carrots, cumin, and tomato paste, deglazing with broth. Stir in paprika and simmer covered for about 1 hour.

    Add the potatoes to the pot and continue cooking for another 30 minutes until tender.

    Meanwhile blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Season the goulash with salt and pepper and serve separately with the beans.
