Ingredients

  • 150 g chopped almonds
  • 80 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g marzipan base
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur
  • 10 dates
  • 20 chocolate wrappers (paper)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Roast the almonds in a non-stick pan without fat until golden yellow. Sprinkle with 1-2 tbsp powdered sugar and let caramelize. Transfer to a sheet of foil to cool. If pieces stick together, chop after cooling. Knead the marzipan with orange liqueur and remaining powdered sugar, then divide into 20 portions.

  2. 2.

Halve the dates and remove pits. Wrap each date half around two-thirds of a marzipan portion and press firmly. Place the confection upside down onto the caramelized almonds and gently press so the almonds stick to it. Put the confection in chocolate wrappers and serve.
