Ingredients
- 600 g raw marzipan dough
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp orange liqueur
- 90 g pistachios
- 75 g nut nougat (firm)
- 150 g decorative cherries
- 250 g chocolate glaze
Instructions
-
1.
Cut the raw marzipan dough into pieces. Sprinkle powdered sugar over them and add orange liqueur. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Grind the pistachios. Take 200 g of marzipan, knead in the pistachios, then roll the nut nougat into an approximately 18 cm long log. Press the decorative cherries lightly into it. Roll the pistachio‑marzipan between cling film into a rectangle and wrap the nougat log inside. Set aside.

2.
Shape the light marzipan into a loaf about 20 cm long and 10 cm wide. Cut it once horizontally. In both halves, press a shallow depression with your thumb. Place the nougat‑marzipan roll into the lower half’s depression and press down. Lay the upper half on top and press again so that a loaf is formed.

3.
Melt the chocolate glaze. Brush the underside of the loaf with glaze and let it set slightly. Place the loaf on a cooling rack and coat it with the remaining glaze. Just before the glaze dries, decorate with the remaining cherries.
