- 1 kg Chinese cabbage
- 4 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 100 ml white wine vinegar

Clean, wash, and halve the cabbage. Heat 1 liter of water with the salt, sugar, and vinegar. Fill twist‑off jars with the cabbage, pour the hot liquid over it, and seal.

Turn the jars upside down to cool. Let stand in a dark place for one week before serving.
