Mango Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 large ripe mango
  • 40 g raisins
  • 2 fresh green chilies
  • 200 ml fruit vinegar
  • 1 tbsp light mustard seeds
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

    Peel the apple, quarter it and remove the core. Peel the mango and cut the flesh from the pit. Halve the chilies, remove the seeds, rinse and slice into rings.

    Combine all with the remaining ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil and simmer while stirring for about 40 minutes until the chutney thickens, then let cool.
