Ingredients
- 50 g salmon fillet (sushi quality)
- 1 cucumber piece
- 1 nori sheet
- Sushi rice
- 1 tsp wasabi paste
- soy sauce
Instructions
-
1.
Wash the salmon fillet, pat dry and cut into strips about ½ cm wide.
-
2.
Peel the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, remove seeds with a spoon and cut into ½ cm wide sticks.
-
3.
Cut the nori sheet in half lengthwise and place one half across the work surface (or on a sushi bamboo mat if available).
-
4.
Spread half of the sushi rice with damp hands over the nori sheet, leaving about a 1 cm wide edge at the top.
-
5.
Spread half of the wasabi across the middle of the rice as a thin stripe with your finger.
-
6.
Place the salmon strips over the wasabi. Moisten the free nori edge very lightly with water.
-
7.
Fold the nori from the lower side over the filling and roll tightly, pressing the edge slightly. Cut the roll into six equal pieces.
-
8.
Repeat on the second half of the nori sheet: spread rice, spread wasabi, arrange cucumber sticks, form a roll and cut into six equal pieces.
