Lime Ginger Bowle

Ingredients

  • 50 g fresh ginger
  • 2 limes (organic)
  • 1 orange (organic)
  • 50 g cane sugar
  • 200 g sugar (to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • soda water or mineral water
  • 2 limes (cut into wedges)
  • ginger pieces
  • acacia honey (for sweetening, optional)

Instructions

    Wash the ginger well and cut it into pieces. Thinly peel the rinds of the limes and orange with a vegetable peeler. Squeeze the lime.

    Bring 1 L water with sugar to a boil, add the ginger and set aside. Pour the citrus zest and lime juice into a pitcher, pour over the hot ginger water, let cool, cover and refrigerate for several hours, preferably overnight.

    When serving, strain through a fine sieve. Add ice cubes, lime wedges and ginger pieces, sweeten with honey to taste, and top up with mineral water.
