Ingredients
- 300 g brown lentils
- 2 onions
- 6 cloves of mace
- 100 g smoked pork belly
- 4 tbsp plant oil
- 1 l vegetable broth
- 2 Bay leaves
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 4 red sausages
- 4 tbsp dark balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions

Soak the lentils overnight in water.

On the next day, peel and halve the onions, then pierce them with the mace. Slice the pork belly into thin strips and brown it in a pot with 2 tbsp oil. Add the onions and lentils, pour over the broth, add bay leaves, thyme, and marjoram, season with salt and pepper, and simmer on medium heat for about 45 minutes. If needed, add more broth.

Brown the sausages in a hot pan with 2 tbsp oil until golden brown all around.

Season the lentils with vinegar and sugar, place the sausages on top, let them rest briefly, then serve.
