Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg lamb leg
  • Salad (pepper)
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp spicy mustard
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (marjoram, thyme, rosemary, parsley)
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions

    Wash the lamb leg, pat dry and rub with salt and pepper. Peel and crush one garlic clove, mix with mustard. Rub the mixture all over the lamb leg and marinate for 1 hour.

    Melt butter and brush the leg with it. Roast in a preheated oven at 230°C for 10 minutes, then reduce to 180°C and braise for 40 minutes until tender.

    For the herb crust, peel and crush another garlic clove, mix with herbs, breadcrumbs and butter. Brush the lamb leg again and bake for an additional 15 minutes to form a crust.
