Labneh from Spoonsparrow: Lebanese yogurt-based fresh cheese for dipping, as a spread or side dish. Here’s the easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Greek yogurt (10% fat)
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp za'atar

Instructions

    Hang a sieve over a bowl and line it with a muslin cloth. Pour the yogurt into the cloth and let it drain overnight in the refrigerator.

    On the next day, stir the finished Labneh with a pinch of salt until creamy. Serve the Labneh drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with za'atar as a dip, spread or side dish.
