Granola from Oats and Nuts

The granola made of oats and nuts by Spoonsparrow also lures breakfast lovers out of bed!

Ingredients

  • 125 g oatmeal
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 75 g almonds (5 tbsp)
  • 60 g hazelnuts (4 tbsp)
  • 45 g cashews (3 tbsp)
  • 60 g walnuts (4 tbsp)
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder (10 g; strongly defatted)

Instructions

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix oats, cinnamon, salt, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews and walnuts.

    In a small pot over low heat, melt the coconut oil and maple syrup together with the cocoa powder until liquid, then pour over the oat mixture.

    Stir well and spread onto the baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan‑forced 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for about 35 minutes, turning several times with a wooden spoon. Let cool. Store airtight for up to one week.
