Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 160 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 180 g flour
  • 3 tbsp Milk (1.5% fat)
  • 150 g chopped almond kernels
  • 50 g powdered sugar (5 tbsp)

Instructions

    Separate the eggs (use the whites elsewhere). Cream 140 g of butter with sugar. Fold in one egg yolk and a pinch of salt, then sift in the flour. Mix until smooth.

    Brush a baking sheet with remaining butter. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and lay it onto the sheet.

    Whisk the remaining egg yolk with milk and brush over the dough. Sprinkle with almonds and powdered sugar, then bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan; gas: level 2–3) for about 12 minutes.

    Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool slightly. Cut into triangles and allow to cool completely.
