The Kiwi Spinach Smoothie with Currants from Spoonsparrow is a healthy snack for in-between moments.

Ingredients

  • 140 g kiwi (2 kiwis)
  • 200 g baby spinach
  • 150 g Bananas (1 banana)
  • 0.5 lemon (juice)
  • 250 g cloudy apple juice
  • 150 g red currants
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

    Peel and cube the kiwis. Wash and dry the spinach. Peel the banana, slice it, and drizzle with lemon juice.

    Blend everything with apple juice and 400–500 ml water until smooth, then pour into cups or glasses.

  3. 3.

    Wash the currants, pluck them from stems, set aside 2 tsp; simmer remaining currants with 50 ml water in a small pot over low heat for 2–3 minutes until they burst, sweeten with honey.

    Strain the currant compote through a sieve and spoon onto the smoothies. Garnish the kiwi‑spinach smoothies with the reserved currants.
