Ingredients

  • 50 g Raisins
  • 50 ml rum
  • 500 g flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 50 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 2 Eggs
  • 70 g candied fruit
  • 50 g chopped almonds
  • 50 g chopped pistachios
  • 30 g orange peel
  • 30 g lemon peel
  • butter (for greasing)
  • 4 tbsp orange marmalade
  • 1 orange (sliced)
  • 1 lime (sliced)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C with upper and lower heat. Soak the raisins in rum. Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Warm the milk with the sugar, butter, and yeast, then pour it into the well. Knead together with the eggs until smooth.

    Add more flour if needed. Shape the dough into a ball, dust with flour, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Chop the candied fruit and mix it with the raisins, chopped almonds, pistachios, orange peel, and lemon peel into the dough.

    Grease the cake pan and spread the dough inside. Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes. Remove, let cool, spread with orange marmalade, and serve topped with orange and lime slices.
