Juicy Turkey Döner
The juicy turkey döners from Spoonsparrow are a light alternative to classic fast food.
Ingredients
- 1 tomato
- 0.5 small romaine lettuce
- 1 Garlic clove
- 0.5 small cucumber
- 200 g yogurt (1.5% fat)
- 200 g Quark (20% fat)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 500 g turkey cutlets
- 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
- 4 small pita breads
Instructions

Wash the tomato and quarter it, removing the stem end. Core the tomato, finely dice it, and place it in a bowl.

Wash, trim, dry, and shred the romaine lettuce into strips. Add to the tomato.

Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press into a second bowl.

Clean, peel, and grate the cucumber onto the garlic using a grater.

Add yogurt and quark, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.

Rinse the turkey cutlets cold, pat dry, and slice them into very thin strips. Season with salt and pepper.

Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan and fry the turkey strips for 8–10 minutes until browned all around.

Cut a pocket into each pita bread and fill it with salad. Spoon 1 tablespoon of tzatziki onto each, then distribute the turkey strips over the breads. Drizzle remaining tzatziki on top and serve.
