Ingredients

  • 4 slices of coarse country bread
  • 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 300 g Mushrooms
  • 1 shallot (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts (roasted)
  • 2 tbsp chives (chopped)
  • 8 slices of Jarlsberg cheese
  • a little olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

    Place the bread slices on a grill rack, brush with olive oil and sprinkle finely chopped garlic over them. Roast in an oven at 180 °C until golden brown.

    Sauté mushrooms with shallot in a bit of olive oil, season with salt and pepper, then stir in chives just before finishing. Spread the mushroom mixture onto the toasted bread slices and top with cheese slices.

    Briefly broil and serve immediately.
