Ingredients

  • 1 ready-to-eat chicken
  • 1 lemon
  • ground pepper from the mill
  • Salt
  • 1 ginger
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 350 g yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. 1.

Cut the chicken into 6-8 pieces. Score the surface of each piece about ½ cm deep and place them in a shallow dish. Sprinkle with pepper and salt, then drizzle with lemon juice. Let marinate for about 30 minutes. Peel the ginger and garlic.

  2. 2.

Grate the ginger finely into a bowl. Press the garlic cloves through a press and add to the bowl. Whisk the yogurt with all the spices to make the marinade. Generously coat the chicken pieces with the mixture and cover the dish with foil.

  3. 3.

Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Place a sheet of foil on a baking tray and arrange the chicken pieces on it. Bake the chicken for 35-40 minutes, brushing it with the marinade every few minutes.
